7 Ralphs Secrets Employees Wish Californians Knew
Rewards programs are supposed to save you money, but the details are easy to miss.
Californians who shop at Ralphs may be leaving savings behind without ever knowing it.
Here’s what employees wish more shoppers knew before they scan their card.
1. Cash Back Capped at 150 Offers
As of October 6, 2026, Ralphs lets each household load only 150 offers, counting Cash Back Offers and digital coupons, at one time.
Cash Back Offers don’t apply to close-out sale items such as a “Manager’s Special,” or when the Cash Back would exceed the price of the item.
You can cash out up to $99.99 a day, once in a 24-hour period, to your Shopper’s Card or a PayPal account, and PayPal transfers start once you’ve earned $20.
The “off order” Cash Back Rewards don’t cover fuel, gift cards, alcohol, pharmacy purchases, tobacco products, lottery, money services or fees.
Cash Back is a pilot.
Ralphs says it may end at any time, so you’d want to check the page before you count on it.
2. Prescriptions That Earn Fuel Points
Ralphs pays fuel points on prescriptions, and as of October 6, 2026, its points program FAQ gives the amounts.
You earn 25 points for each non-federally funded prescription you fill.
On federally funded prescriptions, you earn 1 point for every $1 of out-of-pocket cost.
Ninety-day scripts pay more.
You earn 75 points for each 90-day script.
At Ralphs’s rate of 100 points for 10¢ off a gallon, 25 points works out to 2.5¢ off per gallon.
Earning categories may vary by location.
3. Double Points on Gift Cards
Ralphs awards 2 points for every $1 you spend on most gift cards, according to its points program FAQ as of October 6, 2026.
That’s twice the 1 point per $1 you earn on most groceries.
Several cards earn nothing.
You don’t earn those points on Kroger Family of Companies gift cards or on prepaid reloadable debit cards such as GO2bank, Green Dot, MoneyPak and Netspend.
Visa and Mastercard variable load gift cards sit on the same list.
Before you buy gift cards for the points, check the card type against that list.

4. Choosing Which Month's Points to Spend
Ralphs says you can choose exactly which month's points balance to use at Kroger Family Fuel Centers, according to its fuel FAQ as of October 6, 2026.
Partner stations work differently.
At partner stations, your oldest points get used first.
Partner fuel stations vary by region, with Shell, bp, Amoco and Turkey Hill among the possible partners, so the stations near you may differ.
At the pump keypad, you can enter your Alt ID, which is your phone number if you registered it that way, or insert your Rewards card.
Rewards members also get 3¢ off per gallon at participating fuel locations before using any points, though availability varies by location.
5. Linking Accounts in One Household
Ralphs offers household Shopper's Card account linking, which its account FAQ says lets you combine your coupons, Fuel Points and rewards with others who live in your household.
Linking takes a phone call.
You call 800-576-4377, and everyone you link must share your address and purchase items for that household.
If someone in your linked household moves, the same number gets the account disconnected.
If you don't have a Shopper's Card number, you can create a 10-digit Alt ID that can't start with 0.
Many customers use their mobile phone number.
6. Points That Pay for Groceries
Ralphs points also take dollars off your groceries, since every 100 points takes $1 off, according to the points program FAQ as of October 6, 2026.
The cap is daily.
You're limited to 1,000 points, or $10 off, per household each day.
You redeem in your digital account before checkout, and the reward applies to your next eligible transaction in the store or online.
You can split your points between fuel and groceries, and dollars off groceries expire on the same schedule as the points.
There's also no limit to the number of points you can earn each month.
What 1,000 Ralphs Points Buy
At the pump, Ralphs prices 100 points at 10¢ off each gallon as of October 6, 2026.
That means your 1,000 points take $1 off each gallon.
That makes 10 gallons your break-even, since a 10-gallon fill saves $10, the same as 1,000 points on groceries.
A 15-gallon fill saves you $15 on the same 1,000 points, up to the $1-per-gallon cap.
The maximum discount and gallon limits may vary by location, so your pump may differ.
7. Boost Membership Fine Print
Ralphs Boost renews automatically, according to the Boost FAQ as of October 6, 2026.
Boost fees aren't refundable.
Boost costs $99 a year or $12.99 a month and Boost Essential costs $69 a year or $8.99 a month, plus taxes.
Pharmacy prescriptions, adult beverages and tobacco, gift cards, money services, lottery tickets, postage stamps, delivery tips and the Boost fee itself don't earn double points or free delivery.
Boost covers only people in your immediate household who use your loyalty card or Alt ID, and household members are people currently living at your address.
You get one free trial per household, and your card is charged for an annual membership when the 30-day free trial ends unless you cancel first.
Deleting Your Ralphs Account
Ralphs says deleting your digital account ends your sign-in to Kroger.com and the Kroger app, and its account FAQ lists what goes and what stays as of October 6, 2026.
Not everything goes.
Your pharmacy account, email preferences, lists, cart items and recipes go.
Ralphs keeps your Kroger Plus card, Fuel Points, purchase history, digital coupons, reward points, Community Rewards and store credit.
Ralphs's privacy notice has a section for California residents and was last updated September 9, 2026.
It says you can ask the company to delete personal information it has collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
You can leave its rewards programs by calling Kroger's Customer Connect at 1-800-576-4377.
California's attorney general says a business must respond to your deletion request under the California Consumer Privacy Act within 45 calendar days, and it can extend that deadline by another 45 days if it tells you.
