6 Dierbergs Perks Missourians Don’t Know They Can Ask For
Stand at the Dierbergs seafood counter and ask for your dinner to be cooked while you shop, and it’s free.
That’s one of the perks Missourians can get just by asking, from free groceries in the app to points you forgot to scan.
Here’s what to ask for on your next trip, and the fine print that goes with it.
1. Custom Meat Cuts
Dierbergs says its meat department offers custom and specialty cuts, and will slice and season your meat, all for free.
If you can’t find a special cut in the case, the department has you covered.
The Specialty Meat Menu has more than 60 cuts and entrees, including stuffed or seasoned meats, all sold raw.
Those cuts are hand-trimmed, and you can request seasoning with the store’s signature blends.
2. Seafood Cooked Free
The Dierbergs seafood counter has a service called Seafood Cooked Free, which the department’s page describes as seafood prepared for free while you shop.
You choose a seasoning and cooking method, and dinner is done by checkout time.
Stop by the seafood counter and try something new.
Dierbergs also lists an order-ahead option called Let Us Cook It For You, with 48 hours of advance notice required for pickup in store.
3. Heated Pickup Orders
Some prepared items at Dierbergs, like its fried chicken, can be ordered heated and ready to serve, the support page says.
When you order online, a heating option is listed where it’s available.
Individual stores handle other heating requests, depending on the size of your order and whether the store can properly heat and safely hold the food before pickup.
Online prepared food orders from Dierbergs Kitchen need 48 hours of notice, with a few exceptions noted on individual items.

4. Wine Discounts
At Bob's Barn, the Dierbergs beer, wine and liquor department, Dierbergs says you can save 10% instantly when you buy 6 or more bottles of wine.
On Wednesdays, you can save 15%, with exclusions.
If you're looking for something special, ask the Party Center Manager, and the team will try to track it down.
5. Rewards Marketplace
In the Dierbergs app or on the website, Rewards members can reserve free groceries in the Rewards Marketplace.
After you reserve an item, the support center says you have 30 days to pick it up in store and take it to the checkout.
In some cases, a store that no longer has your reserved item may substitute a substantially equal item.
If your reward isn't on the shelf, see the store manager.
If you fail to pick up the item in time, you lose the reservation, and no points are refunded.
How Dierbergs Rewards Points Add Up
Dierbergs Rewards members earn 15 points for every dollar spent on qualifying purchases, according to the Rewards terms.
At that rate, $100 of qualifying purchases adds up to 1,500 points.
Each time a member reaches 1,500 points, a reward unlocks.
Members can earn up to 37,500 points a day, which ties to around $2,500 in eligible purchases.
Unused Rewards points expire 12 months after you earn them.
The Dierbergs app shows when yours expire.
6. Late Receipt Scans
If you forget to scan your barcode or enter your phone number at a Dierbergs register, you may still be able to earn Rewards points, the support center says.
You can bring your printed receipt to the customer service counter within two days of its time stamp.
The guest services counter may scan the barcode on your receipt, and you earn rewards for that purchase.
You're limited to one receipt per day.
The Rewards terms also say Dierbergs can refuse points for a past purchase if it suspects misuse.
Shelf Price Refunds
When an item scans at a price higher than the posted shelf price, Dierbergs says it will refund the difference.
The policy doesn't apply to milk, liquor or tobacco.
If you have a concern about Dierbergs' signage or ad, let the in-store management team know.
Cake Orders
The Dierbergs bakery page says you can choose a cake, cookie cake or cupcakes, and the bakery will take care of the decoration.
Photo cakes aren't currently available to order online.
Instead, you bring your photo to your local Dierbergs bakery and look through the decorated cake catalog in store.
The bakery also can't accept copyrighted images for reproduction without a written release.
For online or phone bakery orders, allow a minimum of four days before your pickup or delivery date.
Kosher and Gluten-Free Baking
If you shop kosher, the Dierbergs bakery page lists more than 150 Kosher Bakehouse items at all locations.
You can also visit a Certified Kosher Bakery at the West Oak location.
Each store has hundreds of gluten-free items, many fresh-baked for its stores.
Points Fine Print
The Dierbergs Rewards terms spell out who can join, how points are earned and what points can't buy.
Membership is open only to legal residents of Illinois and Missouri who are 18 or older.
There's no fee to join.
To earn points on orders through DoorDash, Shipt, Uber Eats or Instacart, you have to link your Rewards account to your delivery account before you order.
Cash-off rewards are redeemable only at an in-store register, and Marketplace items are for in-store pickup only.
Points can't be redeemed for alcohol, tobacco, gift cards or lottery purchases.
You also can't transfer or gift your points to another account.
Points and coupons may not be redeemed on catering orders, though catering purchases do earn points when you sign in.
