8 Things Hoosiers Always Buy on Sale at Kroger That Everyone Else Pays Full Price For

Last November, Kroger had Stove Top Stuffing on sale for $1.77 ahead of Thanksgiving.

Hoosiers who wait for deals like that pay less than the shopper who grabs it at full price.

Here are the things Hoosiers always buy on sale at Kroger that everyone else pays full price for.

1. Ground Beef and Chicken Breasts

Kroger’s May 18, 2026 Memorial Day release called its grilling staples deals, with a 2.25-pound pack of Kroger Ground Beef at $12.

That works out to about $5.33 a pound.

Heritage Farm chicken breasts were $2.89 a pound in the same release, and you could buy them in store or on Kroger.com.

You could split a pack of beef that size into several dinners and freeze what you don’t use.

The release noted that prices and products may vary by geography and that discounts and the number of items vary by location.

Kroger’s Weekly Ad Day in Indiana

Kroger has 102 grocery stores across 54 cities in Indiana, and its new weekly ad doesn’t go live on the same day everywhere.

Kroger’s weekly ad FAQ says the new ad goes live at midnight Eastern time on Thursday for most stores in Indiana.

That Thursday schedule excludes southeastern Indiana and Evansville.

For other stores, the same FAQ gives midnight Eastern time on Wednesday.

2. Back Ribs

Pork back ribs appeared in Kroger’s Fourth of July lineup under two offers, buy one get one free and $2.99 a pound.

The buy one, get one free offer meant you took home two packages for the price of one.

The release’s prices were valid beginning July 1.

3. Halloween Candy

Candy was 33% off at Kroger from October 15 through October 21, 2025.

The discount came from Kroger’s Halloween release dated October 16, 2025.

That release also said Kroger had lowered prices on thousands of items on top of its everyday low prices.

4. Bagged Salads

Bagged salads were buy one, get one free during Kroger’s Customer Appreciation Week in March 2026.

The week ran March 11 through 17, and each day brought a new digital deal to clip.

Kroger limited each daily deal to one day of clipping and set March 20 as the deadline to redeem offers.

If bagged salad is a weekly habit in your house, a deal like that is worth planning your grocery run around.

5. Soda

All 2-liter soda bottles were 99 cents at Kroger during that same March week, so two bottles cost you $1.98.

The Fourth of July lineup followed with a mix-and-match deal on Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Canada Dry 12-pack cans that let you buy two and get three free.

That made five 12-packs for the price of two.

6. Simple Truth and Private Selection

Kroger’s 10% discount covered Simple Truth and Private Selection products during that Customer Appreciation Week.

That took $1 off every $10 you spent on those two labels.

Both labels belong to what Kroger calls Our Brands, and its Our Brands page lists them next to Kroger Brand, so all three sit together there.

7. Paper Plates and Ketchup

At Kroger, Solo AnyDay Paper Plates were part of a Memorial Day deal that took $1 off each barbecue item when you bought five or more.

Heinz Tomato Ketchup was in the same group.

8. Stuffing, Gravy and Pie

Kroger’s November 2025 Freshgiving release pitched savings on key seasonal items.

Stove Top Stuffing was $1.77, Kroger Broth (32 oz.) was 99 cents, and Ocean Spray cranberries were $1.99.

Heinz gravy and Cool Whip were each two for $4, and Kroger Cut Sweet Jewel Yams in Syrup (29 oz.) were two for $6.

A Bakery Fresh pumpkin pie was $5.49.

The Freshgiving Turkey Bundle

A 14- to 16-pound Kroger Whole Frozen Turkey was part of the Freshgiving bundle Kroger announced in November 2025, a dinner for ten at less than $4.75 a person.

Kroger called that price industry-leading.

Prices were valid beginning November 12.

That comes to less than $47.50 for the whole table.

Fourteen of the 16 items carried the Kroger name.

Those were the turkey, stuffing, chicken broth, corn, baby carrots, cranberry sauce, Idaho potatoes, green beans, mushroom soup, fried onions, rolls, pie crusts, canned pumpkin and whipped topping.

The yams and Campbell’s gravy were listed without the Kroger name.

The Five-Time Pizza Coupon

From October 22 through November 2, 2025, a 5X digital or in-store Kroger coupon let you shop the deal up to five times per transaction.

The deal put Kroger Rising Crust pizzas at just $3.49, which made five pizzas $17.45.

The same Halloween release offered $5 off a $15 spend on participating cosmetics, personal and beauty care items for Halloween makeup.
