Floridians on SSI Get November’s Payment on Friday, Oct. 30, and Nothing in November. Here’s the Full Schedule

Your next Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment has to last 32 days.

At the full $994 rate for an individual, that’s about $31 a day.

That payment date isn’t the only one you’ll want circled in your calendar.

Here’s the full schedule for Floridians on SSI.

Note: This is general information, not financial advice. Payment dates and benefit amounts are subject to change, so confirm your payment date with the Social Security Administration.

The Weekend Rule

SSI is due on the 1st of the month.

Nov. 1 is a Sunday.

When the 1st falls on a weekend, the Social Security Administration (SSA) issues SSI payments the Friday before.

That puts your payment on Friday, Oct. 30.

A 1977 law requires SSA to deliver your SSI early when the usual date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or federal holiday.

October’s Double Payment

SSA pays your SSI twice in October this year.

The Thursday, Oct. 1 payment is October’s benefit.

The Friday, Oct. 30 payment is November’s regular benefit, not an extra payment.

SSA says it pays early to avoid putting you at a financial disadvantage.

Because you get November’s payment early, you won’t get another SSI payment in November.

Your next payment is Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The federal benefit rate is the same as it’s been all year, $994 for an individual and $1,491 for a couple.

Your Oct. 30 payment has to cover the 32 days until Dec. 1.

At the full $994 rate, that works out to about $31 a day for an individual and about $47 for a couple.

Two Benefits, Two Dates

Florida had 542,198 SSI recipients in December 2025.

Of those, 183,303 also received Social Security benefits, which is about one in three.

If you get only SSI, your one payment date is the 1st.

If you get both, SSA pays your SSI on the 1st and your Social Security on the 3rd.

This month, that means Friday, Oct. 30 for SSI and Tuesday, Nov. 3 for Social Security.

They’re four days apart.

Your first week of November has two deposits to plan around.

Who Gets Social Security on the 3rd

Social Security payments arrive on the 3rd for several groups, not only for people who also get SSI.

One group is anyone who started benefits on or before April 30, 1997.

The 3rd also applies if your state pays your Medicare premiums.

Beneficiaries living in a foreign country are paid on the 3rd as well.

SSA’s rules add other groups, such as beneficiaries whose payments are garnished.

If you draw benefits on the same worker’s record as someone in one of these groups, you’re paid on the 3rd too.

December’s Two Payments

SSI is back on its usual date in December, so your payment arrives Tuesday, Dec. 1.

If you also get Social Security, Thursday, Dec. 3 is your date for that one.

On Thursday, Dec. 31, you get your January SSI early.

That’s because Jan. 1, 2027 is a Friday and a federal holiday.

December has two payments.

Your Dec. 1 payment has to cover the 30 days before your Dec. 31 payment.

SSA says increased payments to about 7.3 million SSI recipients begin Dec. 31.

The 2027 federal benefit rate is $1,029 for an individual and $1,544 for a couple.

That’s $35 more than this year’s rate for an individual and $53 more for a couple.

The 3.6 percent cost-of-living increase applies to Social Security too, so if you get both benefits, each one rises.

Your Dec. 31 payment has to cover 32 days, until Monday, Feb. 1.

That also leaves January without an SSI payment.

Where Birthdays Fit In

A birthday never changes your SSI date.

Birthdays set Social Security dates only for people who applied after April 30, 1997.

If you draw benefits on someone else’s record, that person’s birthday sets it instead.

If you get SSI too, you’re on the 3rd instead.

A spouse or parent who gets only Social Security may be paid on a different day than you.

SSA pays birthdays from the 1st through the 10th on the second Wednesday of the month.

Birthdays from the 11th through the 20th get the third Wednesday, and the 21st through the 31st get the fourth.

The second Wednesday in November would be Nov. 11, which is Veterans Day, a federal holiday.

When a payment Wednesday is a federal holiday, SSA pays on the preceding day that isn’t one.

In November, the Wednesday payments fall on Tuesday the 10th, Wednesday the 18th and Wednesday the 25th.

So a birthday on the 5th means a November payment on the 10th, and a birthday on the 27th means the 25th.

In December, the Wednesday payments fall on the 9th, 16th and 23rd.

Question 1 of 9

What was the amount of the first Social Security payment, a one-time lump sum paid to a retired Cleveland motorman?

If the Oct. 30 Deposit Is Late

The next scheduled SSI payment after Oct. 30 is Dec. 1, so a deposit that doesn't show leaves a 32-day gap.

If a direct deposit doesn't arrive on its due date, the bank may be delaying the posting.

Call your bank first.

If the money still isn't there, you can report a missing payment at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or at your local Social Security office.

SSA's page on missing Social Security payments says it will review the case and replace the payment if it's due.
