10 New Publix Finds Florida Shoppers Are Grabbing This Month

Publix added new labels across its stores this month, and they’re stopping customers in their tracks.

These are the new Publix finds Floridians are filling their carts with.

Note: Inventory varies among stores, so you might not find some of these products at your Publix.

1. Guava and Cheese Pastry Frozen Yogurt

Publix took a Cuban bakery-counter classic and moved it to the freezer this summer.

The Limited Edition Guava & Cheese Pastry Frozen Yogurt tastes like a pastelito, that flaky guava-and-cream-cheese pastry from any Miami ventanita.

You get guava frozen yogurt, cream cheese swirls, and crushed vanilla wafers folded through, all by the half gallon.

Florida has paired guava and cheese for generations, from the cafes of Ybor City to the bakeries of Hialeah.

Scoop it into a cone, or eat it straight from the carton after a hot afternoon on the water.

Skip the toaster.

2. Citrus Herb Chicken Cutlets

The meat case at Publix has a new shortcut for the nights nobody feels like cooking.

The Marinated Citrus Herb Mediterranean-Inspired Chicken Breast Cutlets come boneless, skinless, and already soaking in their seasoning.

The rub leans bright and Mediterranean, closer to lemon and oregano than to heavy barbecue.

Toss them in the air fryer, slide them in the oven, or throw them on the grill.

The work’s already done.

Slice the leftovers cold over a salad the next day, and dinner pays off twice.

3. Hatch Chili Mac and Brisket

Publix keeps growing its Meal for One line, and the newest addition leans smoky.

The Hatch Chili Mac & Cheese with Beef Brisket wraps Colby, Monterey Jack, and cheddar around tender pieces of brisket.

Hatch chiles bring a mild green warmth, not a burn, so the heat stays friendly.

You’ll find it in the refrigerated grab-and-go case with the other single-serving bowls.

Brisket folded into mac and cheese is the kind of upgrade a food truck would charge double for.

It beats the drive-through.

4. Sweet Sausage for the Grill

Right as grill season peaks, Publix added a Limited Edition Sweet Italian Sausage to the meat case.

Each package holds five links of seasoned pork, sweet with fennel and skipping the fire of the hot version.

Slide them onto a bun with peppers and onions, or brown them down for a Sunday gravy.

The sweet links play nicer with a mixed crowd than the spicy links do.

Look for them in the fresh meat case while the run lasts.

Fire up the grill.

5. Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread

Publix built a flatbread pizza around the flavor combo that wins every lunchroom vote.

The Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread stacks garlic-herb chicken, bacon, mozzarella, white cheddar, and caramelized onions over a ranch base.

Those caramelized onions are the part most take-and-bake pizzas leave out.

You bake it at home, so the crust crisps in your own oven instead of sitting under a heat lamp.

Give it a few minutes in a hot oven, and the cheese blisters at the edges.

That’s dinner.

6. Sweet Tea Meets Lemonade

A porch-swing drink became ice cream at Publix for the hottest stretch of the year.

The Limited Edition Sweet Tea & Lemonade Float Premium Ice Cream blends black-tea ice cream with lemon swirls and lemonade flakes.

Southerners already know the drink by its other name.

It's an Arnold Palmer you eat with a spoon.

Black tea and lemonade in one carton is a first for the Publix freezer, and it comes in a half gallon.

Sweet and tart.

7. Mango Passion Fruit Bar Cake

Publix's bakery went tropical with a Mango Passion Fruit Bar Cake in the display case.

The iced bar cake works mango and passion fruit into every layer, tart enough to keep the sweetness in check.

Passion fruit gives it a floral tang that plain mango desserts miss.

Chilled, it eats almost like a mousse.

It slices clean for a potluck, or for a Tuesday with no occasion attached.

It won't last the party.

8. Dubai Pistachio Croissants

You can now taste the viral Dubai chocolate trend in a Publix bakery croissant.

Publix's Dubai-Style Pistachio Croissants come two to a pack, flaky layers wrapped around pistachio cream and crunchy shreds of kataifi.

Kataifi is shredded phyllo, toasted until it crunches.

That green pistachio filling is the flavor behind every Dubai-chocolate video this year.

Warm a croissant for ten seconds, and the pistachio cream turns soft.

Social media did the marketing.

9. Hummingbird Cake, Scooped

This month, Publix put hummingbird cake in the freezer instead of on the dessert table.

The Limited Edition Hummingbird Cake Premium Ice Cream folds pineapple, banana, coconut, and carrot ice cream together with cream cheese icing swirls, banana bread, and praline pecan pieces.

It's a Southern potluck staple, spiced and studded with pineapple and pecans.

Publix packed every one of those flavors into the churn.

A whole layer cake fits inside one pint.

Bring a spoon.

10. Glazed Lemon Cake Donuts

Publix's bakery capped the month with Limited Edition Glazed Lemon Sour Cream Cake Donuts.

Six come to a box.

Lemon sour cream cake donuts show up for a stretch, then disappear until the bakers decide to run them again.

They bake dense and tender the way a sour cream cake donut should, then take a thin, tart lemon glaze across the top.

The sour cream keeps the crumb soft while the glaze snaps when you bite in, and you'll be lucky to get the box home with all six in a Florida summer.
