5 Lowes Foods Perks South Carolinians Pay for Somewhere Else
Some grocery stores charge for extras that others hand out for free.
South Carolinians who shop at Lowes Foods can pick up a few of those perks just by being aware of them.
Here are the perks worth using on your next trip.
1. Rival Store Coupons
As of its March 8, 2024 update, Lowes Foods’ competitors’ coupons policy takes coupons from the circulars and direct-mail flyers of other grocery stores.
You can use coupons from The Fresh Market, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Target, which are all on the list.
Coupons from club stores, dollar stores and drugstores don’t make the cut.
It takes order-total coupons from the stores on that list, such as $10 off a $50 purchase, limited to one a day for each household.
Catalina coupons from a rival store’s checkout work too, as long as they’re in date and meet their purchase requirements.
Rivals’ coupons for particular products, Catalina coupons included, are limited to four a day for each household, so pick your best four coupons.
2. Gas Rewards
You earn Lowes Foods gas rewards with your Fresh Rewards account.
That works in the store, online or in the app.
To redeem them, you scan your Fresh Rewards barcode from the app at the pump or enter your account number.
If you have rewards available, you’ll see your discount at the pump and can choose to redeem it on that fill-up.
The store locator has a Fuel Station Available filter, so check your store first.
The Fresh Rewards terms say gas rewards expire thirty days after they’re issued.
Gas rewards may not be given for purchases of beer, wine, tobacco, fuel, services, Lowes Foods gift cards, open value cards, lottery tickets or taxes.
3. Double Coupons
Under its double coupons policy, last updated March 8, 2024, Lowes Foods doubles up to 20 manufacturer coupons a day, each with a face value of $0.99 or less.
You need your Fresh Rewards card, but there’s no minimum purchase.
Free-item, buy-one-get-one-free and do-not-double coupons are left out.
If you hand over twenty 99-cent coupons, that’s $19.80 in face value.
Doubling can add up to that much again, though it stops at each item’s retail or sale price.
