7 Krystal Orders Tennesseans Have Defended for Generations

Ask a Krystal fan for their usual, and you’ll get a confident answer.

Tennesseans have strong opinions about how to order, and some of those habits go back generations.

Here are the orders fans stick with.

1. Six Krystals and Coffee

Krystal’s first order, on October 25, 1932, was six Krystals and a cup of coffee for 35 cents, according to the company’s timeline.

Rody Davenport Jr. and J. Glenn Sherrill had founded the Chattanooga company the day before.

The Tennessee Encyclopedia describes the early menu as nickel hamburgers and a good cup of coffee.

Six burgers at a nickel apiece come to 30 cents, so you’re left with about a nickel for the coffee.

Since the Crossville restaurant serves coffee, you can still pair a few Krystals with a cup.

2. The Sackful

A Krystal Sackful Combo gets you twelve original Krystals, two medium sides, and two medium drinks.

Each burger is 100% USDA beef with diced onions, mustard, and a dill pickle.

Krystal’s menu calls the Sackful a meal for two, or for one hungry person.

During Krystal’s August 2024 football-season promotion, you could get a Sackful of 12 Krystals for $12 at participating locations.

That’s a dollar a Krystal.

3. The Cheese Question

Cheese on a Krystal means a slice of American, with the same onions, mustard, and pickle as an original, according to the menu.

Each one comes on a steamed bun.

That leaves you one decision at the speaker, cheese or no cheese.

What Cheese Added to a Krystal Sackful

Krystal’s August 2024 football-season promotion priced twelve Cheese Krystals at $15, against $12 for twelve without cheese.

That’s $3 more for twelve slices of American cheese, or 25 cents a slice.

Krystal said pricing and availability may vary, so the gap at your restaurant may not match.

4. Chili Cheese Pups

The Pup is Krystal’s mini hot dog, and the chain sells a version buried under chili.

Krystal’s menu describes its Chili Cheese Pup as submerged beneath chili, with shredded cheddar cheese and yellow mustard on top.

You can get a dozen of them in one order.

In the summer of 2015, Krystal let you add a Pup to any combo meal for 99 cents.

The promotion put no limit on how many Pups you could add to each combo.

5. The Chili Cheese Fries Combo

Krystal's menu lists a 5 Cheese Krystals with Chili Cheese Fries Combo.

You get five Cheese Krystals and a medium drink, with chili cheese fries or tots as your side.

The combo comes in at 750 to 1,150 calories.

Krystal's fall menu announcement of August 24, 2026, also included a Loaded Chili, topped with cheese, jalapeños, and sour cream, with a bag of Fritos on the side.

6. The Chik

The Chik is Krystal's fried chicken slider.

In 2019, Krystal rolled out a Nashville Hot Chik across its restaurants, so you could get it seasoned with cayenne, smoked paprika, and brown sugar.

The name nods to Nashville hot chicken.

The seasoning surrounds a 100 percent all-white-meat chicken breast.

If you've missed the softer breading and more pronounced pepper flavor, Krystal's August 2026 game-day announcement says an updated Chik is bringing them back.

7. The Scrambler

Krystal's breakfast menu lists scrambler bowls.

You'll also find a Low Carb Scrambler Breakfast Bowl and avocado versions of the scrambler.

A 2017 trade report described the original scrambler as a bowl served with grits.

In August 2024, Krystal ran a limited-time Sausage Gravy Tater Scrambler, made with scrambled eggs over crispy tots, cheese, and a sausage patty in gravy.

If you're feeding a crowd at breakfast, you can order Original Sausage Scramblers by the dozen.

Game-Day Bundles

Krystal's game-day bundles, announced August 24, 2026, run through November 1, 2026, at participating locations.

You can get the Kick-Off Pack, eight Krystals starting at $9.99, in store or online.

The MVP Meal is six Krystals, ten nuggets, and two medium fries starting at $12.99.

The First Down Feast, eight Krystals with ten wings and two medium fries, starts at $25.99.

The Championship Feast, six Krystals with ten wings and ten nuggets, starts at $30.99.

You can order those two feasts through the Krystal app and online.

Krystal Hours by Restaurant

Krystal doesn't run one schedule across Tennessee, so your late-night order depends on which restaurant you pull into.

Look up your restaurant on Krystal's location finder and check its page before you drive.

The Crossville restaurant lists hours of 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week.

The Charlotte Pike restaurant in Nashville is open 7 a.m. to midnight daily, with a drive-thru window.

The Kingston Pike restaurant in Knoxville stays open until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11 p.m. the other nights.
