6 Sprouts Farmers Market Perks Arizonans Leave on the Table

You’ve probably walked out of Sprouts with a full bag and an unused perk or two.

The benefits don’t always announce themselves.

These are the Sprouts Farmers Market perks Arizonans leave on the table.

1. Rewards Math

You get paid back automatically every time you shop at Sprouts, through its free Rewards program.

You earn five points for every dollar you spend on eligible items, whether you shop in the store or order online.

The points add up fast.

Once your points reach 1,000, Sprouts Rewards converts them into a $2 reward.

You can let the balance build for months, or cash it in the moment you cross that line, whichever fits your shopping habits better.

Nothing forces you to spend it right away.

The Math Behind Sprouts Rewards

Turn that rate into numbers and here’s what it looks like.

Run the numbers, and $200 in eligible purchases is what it takes to earn that first $2 back.

In-lane redemption at the register needs a 2,000-point cushion, so a smaller balance has to go through the app or website instead.

2. App-Only Coupons

Sprouts posts more than $100 in digital coupon savings inside its app every month.

None of it applies automatically.

According to Sprouts’ FAQ, you open the coupons page, or tap the Coupons button in the app, and clip each one before it counts.

Clip it once.

If you skip that step, the discount never shows up.

Redeeming is simple once the clip is done.

Scan your Sprouts Rewards barcode at checkout, either from the app or a printed copy from sprouts.com, and the clipped savings apply on the spot, as Sprouts’ FAQ describes it.

One scan covers every coupon you clipped.

3. Bonus-Point Events

Your Sprouts Rewards points can add up faster than the standard five-per-dollar rate, if you know where to look.

Sprouts tags select items “Earn 3X Points” or “Earn 5X Points” during member-only events, right on its shopping page, well above the everyday rate.

The rewards program’s benefits page separately confirms these events also come with limited-time savings open only to members.

The lineup changes, so catching the multiplier means checking before you shop, not after you’re standing at the shelf.

4. Free Curbside Pickup

Sprouts covers the cost of curbside pickup on your first order over $35, placed through the app or Instacart.

That free pickup isn’t limited to your first trip, either.

It holds on every order over $35 after that, while an order under $35 carries a $3.99 pickup fee.

Delivery pricing runs separately, shifting with distance and whether you carry an Instacart+ membership.

Either option beats loading everyone into the car on a hot afternoon just to grab a few bags of groceries.

Nothing about ordering ahead has to feel like a compromise on price.

5. Reusable Bulk Containers

You can bring containers from home for the bulk bins and produce section at Sprouts, instead of buying a new bag every visit.

Per Sprouts’ FAQ, a cashier weighs your container empty first and subtracts that tare before ringing up what’s inside.

You pay for the food, not the jar.

Simple as that.

At most locations, reusable bulk bags and mesh produce bags are also for sale near the bins, for shoppers who don’t have a container yet.

It’s a small habit Sprouts makes easy to keep.

6. Refund Policy

You don’t need an excuse to bring something back to Sprouts.

Sprouts backs every purchase with a plain refund policy: If you’re not happy with it, the store hands your money back.

Bring your receipt and Sprouts hands your money back, no argument.

That includes a produce box that spoiled two days early, a supplement that didn’t agree with you, or a loaf that came out wrong.

It’s just as good for a simple case of buyer’s remorse.

Paying With EBT Online

Sprouts lets shoppers enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) pay with an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card on delivery and pickup orders placed through Instacart.

It works far past the checkout register now.

You check out with your EBT card the same way you would in the aisle, as long as a linked debit or credit card covers what SNAP can’t.

Taxes and delivery fees don’t qualify.

Nothing else changes.

Sprouts turned this on nationwide in 2022, using Instacart’s payment system to route EBT purchases to eligible stores.

If you’ve never tried it, your next pickup order is the easiest place to test it out.

Built in Arizona

Stan and Shon Boney opened that first store in Chandler in 2002, according to the trade publication Produce Market Guide.

Sprouts now runs roughly 52 stores across Arizona, from Flagstaff down to Yuma and Tucson.

Sprouts moved its national headquarters into a new complex in north Phoenix this year, with a 25,000-square-foot flagship store built right next door.

Sprouts’ corporate staff and its newest store now share the same address in north Phoenix.

The Phoenix headquarters is where Sprouts decides the rewards math and builds the weekly ad you scroll through on your phone.

Yuma got its second Sprouts store in 2025, proof the chain keeps building in Arizona’s smaller markets, not just the Phoenix suburbs.
