7 ShopRite Secrets Employees Wish New Jerseyans Knew
You can shop at ShopRite for years and still not know some of the small rules that affect your total.
Here are the ShopRite details worth knowing before your next visit or online order.
1. Receipt Codes
ShopRite prints short codes beside the items on your receipt, and its digital receipts help page lists the full key.
A Price Plus Club offer prints as PC, a digital store coupon prints as DS, and a digital manufacturer coupon prints as DM.
A targeted coupon prints as TC, which is a coupon offer applied by the corporate office as a gesture of goodwill.
If you’ve opted in, ShopRite emails your digital receipt within one hour of your purchase.
What ShopRite’s Tax Codes Mean
ShopRite’s receipt key also tells you which items qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and which carry tax.
F marks an item that’s SNAP eligible and not taxed.
B marks an item that’s SNAP eligible and taxed.
T marks a taxable item that isn’t SNAP eligible.
Q marks a qualified health care item for a healthcare spending account (HSA).
X marks a taxable qualified health care item for an HSA.
2. Fulfillment-Day Pricing
ShopRite’s delivery page says your final online total will be calculated on the day your order is fulfilled.
Prices are the same online and in-store, with the in-store price reflected on your final receipt if there’s a discrepancy.
ShopRite’s pickup page uses the same Sunday-to-Saturday circular for its online prices and promotions.
Your card isn’t charged until the order has been shopped and is ready for pickup.
According to ShopRite’s online shopping policies, your items are selected on the day of the order, and products aren’t ‘reserved’ at the time you place it.
3. Reusable Bags for Online Orders
ShopRite’s New Jersey bag page lists $1.50 plus tax as a flat fee on all online orders, delivery and pickup.
That fee covers as many reusable bags as necessary to properly bag an entire order.
The fee appears as a separate charge on your receipt.
Can ShopRite store your personal reusable bags for your online orders?
For now, ShopRite says no, though it continues to evaluate carryout bag options that keep pickup fast and easy.
4. 90-Minute Slot Hold
Your reserved timeslot is held for 90 minutes, according to ShopRite’s online shopping tips, but not if you sign out.
You can still change or cancel an order until your personal shopper starts shopping it, ShopRite’s delivery page says.
After that, call the store for any additional changes.
If you miss your pickup timeslot, you can still pick up your order as long as the store’s online Order Pickup Deliver department is open.
ShopRite’s pickup and delivery pages both say there’s no minimum order amount to use the service.
Fees vary by store, and you’ll see yours once you select a time slot.

If you need to change or cancel an order, call the store as soon as possible because deli products are perishable.
Order Express services also vary by location.
6. Recall Alerts on Your Card

If you already have a Price Plus Club card, ShopRite's online shopping tips say the information you enter must match the name, address and phone number on your card.
You can find your savings at the bottom of your register receipt.
If you lose your keys along with your Price Plus Club card, they can be dropped in any mailbox, and ShopRite can return them.
7. Limited Digital Offers

Each coupon loads onto your account one time unless otherwise noted.
ShopRite displays each coupon's expiration date as part of the coupon description on the website.
Online Delivery Terms
ShopRite's online shopping policies say your driver will call or text you when they're on the way to make your delivery.
