7 Weis Markets Policies Pennsylvanians Often Miss
Every Preferred Shoppers Club card in your house can earn Weis Rewards points together.
Many Pennsylvanians who shop Weis every week still miss details like that.
Here are the Weis Markets policies you might not know but should.
1. Minimum Order and Service Fee
Weis Markets sets a $35 minimum on every online order, before taxes and fees.
A $5 service fee applies to pickup and delivery alike.
The fee is flat.
Items priced by weight, like produce, deli, seafood and meat, are billed for the amount you select, so your final total can shift slightly.
Say your cart totals $28, and you’d be $7 short.
You also need a MyWeis account to place any pickup or delivery order.
2. $7.99 Delivery Fee
When you pick delivery, Weis Markets charges a $7.99 delivery fee on top of the $5 service fee.
That’s $12.99 in fees.
Weis says it chooses the store closest to your delivery address, so you can’t pick a different store.
DoorDash is its third-party delivery partner.
Someone must also be home at the time of delivery.
If you change a delivery order to pickup, the $7.99 gets reimbursed.
What a Weis2Go Order Costs at the Minimum
Weis2Go pickup at the $35 minimum comes to $40 before taxes because the $5 service fee comes on top.
Delivery at that same minimum comes to $47.99 before taxes because the $7.99 delivery fee comes on top of the service fee.
3. Substitutions Checkbox
Weis Markets tells Weis2Go customers to check a box when they place an online order if they want substitutions.
If you’d rather not receive replacements, you can skip that box.
If you’re charged for an item you didn’t receive, calling your store gets it reimbursed or replaced.
Skipping the box is allowed.
4. Items Not Sold Online
Alcohol, tobacco products and prescriptions are among the items Weis says aren’t available for online ordering.
Refilling a prescription online takes a separate ePharmacy account.
Prescriptions have another route.
If your list includes any of those, you’ll handle them outside your online cart.

5. Paper Coupons Online
Manufacturers' paper coupons don't work with Weis's online shopping services, according to its FAQ.
Clipping comes first.
Clipped eCoupons are the way around that: those on your MyWeis account apply automatically at the end of checkout.
If you have a valid promotion code, you enter it in the order instructions and promo codes box during checkout.
6. Household Rewards Points
Weis Markets links the Preferred Shoppers Club cards in your household together, so every member earns Weis Rewards points as a household.
Redemptions work the same way, and any one cardholder can redeem all of the accumulated points.
The points are pooled.
So another cardholder in your household can spend points you earned.
7. $5 Grocery Rewards Voucher
Weis Markets' Pennsylvania grocery rewards page lists $5 off a purchase of $25 or more for 300 points, and says the offers can change without notice.
The discount is limited to one per household per transaction.
You can't stack two.
Holiday Rewards Limit
Weis Markets limits Holiday Rewards to one redemption per household.
You get one.
At a staffed register, you ask the cashier to apply your points toward a Holiday Rewards option.
At self-checkout, you follow the on-screen prompts.
Gift Card Points Promotions
Weis Markets' gift card rewards page describes promotions that pay extra Weis Rewards points for every $100 you spend on qualifying gift cards in a single transaction.
Activation fees don't count toward those points.
Only the loaded value counts.
Some cards won't earn you any points, including Weis gift cards, Visa and Mastercard gift cards, and prepaid debit cards.
The promotions might not be available in every state.
Cancelling an Online Order
If your plans change, Weis Markets says you cancel an online order by calling your local store.
You may cancel up to 24 hours in advance.
Party Platter Lead Time
Weis Markets requires platter orders to be placed 48 hours before your pickup time.
Order for a Saturday 10 a.m. pickup, and your deadline is Thursday at 10 a.m.
That's two full days.
Pickup and Delivery Hours
Weis2Go pickup and delivery run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at many locations, and your order can be ready in as little as four hours.
Four hours isn't much notice.
Each time slot has an order limit, so you can't select a full slot at checkout.
Weis2Go pickup is curbside or in a designated parking spot, depending on your store.
When you arrive, you call the number listed for your Weis Markets location, and the groceries come out to your car.
You don't have to load them yourself.
A trained Weis2Go personal shopper hand-selects your order in the store, and Weis says freshness is guaranteed.
Its Weis2Go shoppers don't accept tips.
