Binge-Worthy! America’s Favorite TV Shows, Ranked by State

With Hulu, Netflix, HBO, and other streaming services part of the mainstream American vocabulary, Americans are taking sides with their favorite shows.

A 2022 report released by Zippia cross-referenced the 100 most-watched TV shows according to IMDB with 2022 Google Trends data. With so many fan favorites, it’s easy to see why Americans spend an average of 4.9 hours watching TV each day.

These are the most popular TV shows by state. Did your favorite show make the cut?

Alabama

Between football seasons, Alabama locals are binging reruns of the supernatural teen drama “The Vampire Diaries.” Based on a book series of the same name, the show ran for eight seasons giving viewers plenty of rewatchable drama.  

Alaska

In a major win for Disney’s streaming platform, “WandaVision” proved popular with Alaskans whose viewing numbers made the Marvel spinoff the state’s most popular TV show.

Dark comedy-slash-action thriller “The Boys” caught the attention of Arizonians, who love tuning in to watch Eric Kripke’s comic book spinoff on Amazon Prime. 

Arkansas
