Sam’s Club’s Thanksgiving Meal Goes on Sale Tomorrow. What Texans Get for Under $10 a Head
By Sam’s Club’s math, the average person needs 7 to 9 hours to cook Thanksgiving dinner from scratch.
But Sam’s Club’s Thanksgiving meal can be prepared in about two hours, and you can start ordering it tomorrow.
Here’s what Texans get from the Sam’s Club meal for about $160, and how that works out to under $10 a head.
Full Menu
Every item in Sam’s Club’s 2026 Thanksgiving Meal is Member’s Mark, and the release lists 11 items.
The two mains are a boneless carver ham and a hickory smoked turkey.
You get both.
The sides are Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, sweet corn with garlic butter, and a cranberry crunch salad. Green beans with dried cranberries and almonds come twice, and so does the macaroni and cheese.
Your order also has yeast dinner rolls, a charcuterie entertainment tray, and two 12-inch pumpkin pies.
On the meal page, each pie is listed at 58 ounces and the rolls as a 24-count.
Sam’s Club says every item meets its Made Without Commitment standard, which removes more than 40 unwanted ingredients, including artificial colors.
Per-Person Math
Sam’s Club puts the full Thanksgiving Meal at just under $160. Its footnote says that price is pre-tax.
The company designed the meal to serve up to 16 people. Sam’s Club divides the total by 16 guests and says each person’s share comes to less than $10.
That footnote also says the figure assumes the complete assortment, and items bought individually or à la carte are priced separately.
The meal page carries the same pitch in its headline, “Your Thanksgiving meal for under $10 per person.”
Sam’s Club also calls its serving yields estimates, not a promise that every guest gets a full serving of every item.
The Arithmetic Behind Under $10
Sam’s Club’s release reaches 11 items by listing each product once.
It marks three of those items (x2), the green beans, the macaroni and cheese, and the pumpkin pies.
Counting each of those as two, the release’s list adds up to 14 pieces.
Divide $160 by 16, and you get exactly $10, so the under-$10 claim depends on the price staying below $160.
Ordering and Delivery
Sam’s Club opens ordering for the Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday, Oct. 28. You can shop for it in the club or online.
Sam’s Club says one click in the app or on SamsClub.com adds the whole meal to your cart. From there, the release says, you can add or remove items as you like.
After you order, you can pick it up curbside or have it delivered. Sam’s Club says Express delivery brings it to your door in as soon as one hour.
Express delivery costs an extra $10 for Plus members or $22 for Club members, on eligible orders at participating locations. Last year, Plus members paid $8 for Express Delivery.
Per the release’s fine print, delivery also depends on inventory, time slots, and club hours. The same fine print says Express delivery has no minimum order size. The meal’s page on SamsClub.com lists its prices as valid through Nov. 26, 2026.
New This Year
Sam’s Club calls its 2026 Thanksgiving Meal its biggest Thanksgiving meal yet. Last year’s feast had nine items, served 10 people, and cost under $100.
Compared with last year, your order adds a ham, a gravy, and a charcuterie tray. Last year’s list also had sweet potato mash, and this year’s doesn’t. On the company’s numbers, both years come in under $10 a head.
Sam’s Club says last year’s meal earned an A in a survey of its members, and the team wanted it bigger and better. Ashley Peoples, Sam’s Club’s senior director of product development, says members asked for more protein, a gravy, and something to snack on. She says members also wanted leftovers to stretch the meal into the days after Thanksgiving. Sam’s Club says it responded by adding more items and bigger amounts of several sides.
The release says the team also cooked and tasted Thanksgiving meals from competitors, with 20 to 30 team members taking part in testing and analysis. Peoples says the team compared serving sizes, meal components and value against its meal.
The release also says the team benchmarked a chef-prepared gravy and then worked with suppliers through at least four rounds of testing. Peoples says the testers compared the result to gravy made by their grandmothers.
Charcuterie Tray
Sam’s Club’s charcuterie entertainment tray is a new addition to the Thanksgiving Meal this year.
According to the release, tasters asked for an appetizer. It adds that the team paid close attention to the spice level of the pepper jelly that comes with the tray.
On the meal page, you’ll see the tray listed at 44 ounces. Sam’s Club’s certified sommelier, Elliott Schaum, pairs wine with the charcuterie in one video and with the turkey in another.
Time Saved
Sam’s Club pairs the price with a time claim, saying the meal can be prepared in about two hours. If you cooked all 11 items from scratch, Sam’s Club calculates it would take the average person 7 to 9 hours. It bases that on average household cooking times and trials by its product development team.
Peoples says being able to prepare it in about two hours gives members more time with their friends, family and loved ones.
Sam’s Club says its team followed competitors’ cooking instructions with a typical home kitchen in mind, which it describes as one oven and two racks. Its footnote adds that individual oven times may vary.

Availability at Your Club
Sam's Club has 82 clubs in Texas as of Jan. 19, 2026, according to Walmart.
In June, Sam's Club brought nearly 100 members to Dallas for a tasting event, complete with full holiday decor. The release says the meal got high marks overall, with the gravy as the standout.
If an item is unavailable at your club, the fine print says substitutions may apply, and availability of all items isn't guaranteed at every club. It adds that because several items are sold by weight, actual product weights and total price may vary by club.
