6 ShopRite Price Plus Rules Pennsylvanians Miss at the Register
Order ShopRite groceries through a third-party delivery app, and the digital coupons on your Price Plus card won’t come with you.
With Thanksgiving shopping coming up, Pennsylvanians will want those savings to stick.
Here are the ShopRite Price Plus rules Pennsylvanians miss at the register.
1. Single-Transaction Coupon Limits
ShopRite’s coupon policy says the digital coupons on your Price Plus card work up to the stated limit in a single transaction only.
Buy fewer items than that limit, and the coupon is still marked as redeemed and can’t be used again, so the limit is the first thing we’d check.
The digital coupon FAQ‘s example is an offer good for up to four redemptions, all in a single transaction.
Ring up two, and the coupon is no longer available even though two redemptions went unused.
2. Coupons Worth More Than the Item
ShopRite’s coupon policy says that when a coupon is worth more than an item’s retail price, the item is free, with no additional cash or credit back.
A digital coupon also won’t deduct when an item’s sale price falls below its value.
Look for the savings at the bottom of your register receipt.
If a ShopRite Digital Coupon Doesn’t Come Off
Start at the customer service desk, the digital coupon FAQ says.
After that, you can email ShopRite through the contact page on shoprite.com.
Include your account information, the coupon offer and the item’s barcode number.
You can also call Customer Care at 1-800-ShopRite.
3. Third-Party Delivery Platforms
Order ShopRite groceries through a third-party delivery service, and the digital coupons on your Price Plus card may not come along.
A platform that skips a coupon may still treat it as redeemed and delete it from your saved coupons.
The policy tells you to understand each platform’s coupon practices yourself and says ShopRite has no liability for deleted coupons.
Paper coupons aren’t accepted on orders placed on shoprite.com, but digital coupons from its digital coupon center are.
4. Digital and Paper Coupons on One Item
ShopRite processes digital coupons before any paper coupons, the digital coupon FAQ says, so a paper manufacturer coupon for the same item waits its turn.
When both cover the same item, though, ShopRite’s front-end system determines which coupon is the better value and applies that one.
If your digital coupon is the better value, the paper coupon is returned to you.
If the paper coupon is the better one, the digital coupon goes back on your account.
The coupon policy allows one ShopRite coupon and one manufacturer coupon on the same item in the same transaction.
During Digital Clip or Load events, though, digital and paper coupons for the same item can’t be combined in one transaction.
Some stores may “double print coupons,” so check your store for its coupon policies.
The policy itself may be modified at a store manager’s discretion.

5. Loading Coupons Before Checkout
Digital coupons have to be downloaded before your transaction begins at the register, so one you load once the cashier starts ringing you up may be too late.
The FAQ says offers don't download automatically, so you sign in on shoprite.com and click “Load to Card” under each offer.
Clip less coupons skip that step, since ShopRite uploads them to your card and redeems them automatically.
Some digital coupons also carry a clip limit, though there's no cap on how many offers you can load.
A clipped coupon stays on your account until it expires and can't be removed once selected.
Each coupon may be loaded to your account only once, unless otherwise noted, and is valid for a single use.
6. Your Card and Coupons on a Phone
Your Price Plus card is required to redeem the digital coupons loaded to it.
Without the physical card, the coupon policy says you may access it with the phone number in your profile.
Customers with the ShopRite mobile app may also use its digital card feature.
Accessing your digital card via Apple Wallet is acceptable too.
What your phone can't do is show a coupon, since ShopRite doesn't accept coupons or savings offers presented as a bar code on any electronic device.
Price Plus Perks Beyond Coupons
The Price Plus page says to bring your card every time you shop and present it at checkout.
Its list of what the card does includes instant cash discounts on hundreds of items throughout the store.
Your card also lets ShopRite notify you of a product safety recall.
ShopRite's Pennsylvania Stores
ShopRite Supermarkets, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Wakefern cooperative, had 31 supermarkets across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in January 2026.
That month, Wakefern agreed to buy three Pennsylvania ShopRite stores from the member families that ran them, and the stores were to join ShopRite Supermarkets.
Two of the stores are in Philadelphia, at Whitman Plaza and Roosevelt Boulevard, and the third is in West Chester.
Most of the ShopRites in the Philadelphia market are owned by Brown's, which had 12 stores in Philadelphia and its suburbs as of January 2026.
