7 Cracker Barrel Rewards Rules Georgians Miss Every Visit
Your Cracker Barrel Rewards balance stops at 500 Pegs. Hit it, and you can’t earn another Peg until you redeem.
Georgians who stop in often can lose points to details like that.
Here are the Cracker Barrel Rewards rules Georgians miss every visit.
1. 365-Day Peg Expiration
Every Peg you earn through Cracker Barrel Rewards comes with an expiration date.
Pegs expire 365 days from the date you earned them.
If you earn Pegs on three different visits, each batch gets a separate expiration date.
A Peg from January and a Peg from March don’t run out together.
Your balance can drop without you spending a single Peg.
2. 500-Peg Ceiling
Your Cracker Barrel Rewards balance stops at 500 Pegs.
The catch? Once you hit that number, you can’t earn another Peg until you redeem some Pegs.
If you spend $100 on a family breakfast with a full balance, no Pegs post to your account.
That stings.
Earning has limits, too: 500 Pegs in a calendar day and 5,000 in a calendar year.
If you’re close to 500, redeem a Reward before your next big meal.
3. 30-Day Receipt Window
Once you have a Cracker Barrel Rewards account, you get 30 days to claim Pegs from a purchase that didn’t link to it.
To claim them, you use the Transaction Number on your receipt, so keep the slip until your Pegs post.
The 30 days run from the date on that receipt.
A meal you paid for before you created your account doesn’t earn Pegs, so create the account before you order.
If Pegs post wrong, you have 30 days from the date you earned them to tell Cracker Barrel.
The fix itself can take up to 30 days after that.
4. Rounded-Down Dollars
Tips, taxes and delivery fees don’t count toward Cracker Barrel Rewards Pegs.
Each $1 you spend in the restaurant, on the website or through the app earns one Peg.
Your total rounds down to the nearest dollar.
That means a $19.99 food total earns 19 Pegs.
Gift cards don’t earn Pegs, either.
Orders made through a third-party delivery service don’t earn Pegs, so order straight from Cracker Barrel if you want them.
Psst! Are you working your Rewards account? Run through this checklist and see where you stand.
5. Birthday Dessert Conditions
Your Cracker Barrel Rewards birthday dessert comes free once a year, with a few conditions.
Your birthdate has to be in your account before the first day of your birthday month.
If you add it on the first day, you’ve missed the cutoff for that year.
You need at least one qualifying purchase in the 12 months before your birthday.
The dessert should show up within 72 hours of the first day of your birthday month.
You then have 45 days from the day it’s issued to use it.
The dessert doesn’t cover add-on items.
6. Redemptions in Multiples of 75
Cracker Barrel Rewards Pegs redeem only in multiples of 75.
You can’t redeem anything until you reach 75 Pegs.
With 85 Pegs, you can redeem only 75 at that time, so ten stay behind.
A retail Reward comes with a minimum, too: $5 off takes a $25 retail purchase.
You can’t redeem Pegs for alcoholic drinks or gift cards.
Cracker Barrel Rewards Redemption Caps
Cracker Barrel Rewards caps what each Peg redemption can take off your bill.
The caps run $7.50 at 75 Pegs, $12.50 at 150 Pegs, $20.00 at 225 Pegs and $40.00 at 450 Pegs.
That works out to about 8 to 10 cents a Peg.
Those caps are ceilings on the discount, not set amounts. The $5-off retail Reward above sits under all of them.
Since you earn one Peg for each $1 you spend, the best case is roughly 10 cents back on each dollar.
7. One Account, One Email
Cracker Barrel Rewards allows one account per member.
Your account runs on the email address you used to enroll.
When your email address changes, you need to create a new account with the new address.
Guest Relations can then merge your old account into the new one.
Cracker Barrel can terminate a second account that appears to duplicate yours.
Final Redemptions
Every Cracker Barrel Rewards redemption is final.
Cracker Barrel deducts the Pegs immediately.
It doesn’t refund a Reward once you’ve redeemed it.
If you redeem Pegs on an item you later return, you forfeit those Pegs.
Offers That Stack With Pegs
Promotions and discounts can combine with a Cracker Barrel Rewards Peg redemption.
You can redeem more than one Reward in a single transaction.
Your first purchase after you enroll brings one free order of Shareables, minus the Shareables Duo and Trio.
You have to enroll before you buy, but there’s no minimum purchase.
You have 30 days to redeem it.
Bonus Game Rewards
The Bonus Game and other events during the year bring Cracker Barrel Rewards members extra Pegs and Bonus Rewards.
Bonus Rewards can run on a shorter clock than Pegs.
Some Bonus Rewards expire in as little as 30 days.
Check the date on each Bonus Reward in your account before you plan your next meal.
Changes to the Terms
Under the Cracker Barrel Rewards terms, Cracker Barrel can change how many Pegs your dollars earn.
It can add, remove or change the Rewards and what each one costs in Pegs.
Changes to the terms take effect as soon as Cracker Barrel gives notice.
If Cracker Barrel cancels the program, you forfeit any Pegs left in your account without compensation.
Deactivated Accounts
If you go two consecutive years without earning a Peg, Cracker Barrel can deactivate your account.
Deactivation costs you every Peg in the account.
Pegs have no cash value.
