7 Maverik Habits That Give Away a Utahn

Utahns who make Maverik their go-to store pick up habits like that fast.
Here are the Maverik habits that give away a Utahn.
1. Breakfast Burritos
Maverik’s BonFire kitchen makes breakfast burritos, and the menu lists a Steak Breakfast Burrito by name.
If you’re ordering a burrito, there’s also a Biscuit & Gravy Bowl and a Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit.
Maverik’s 2022 sales data showed sausage, egg and cheese burritos were most often bought with a hot beverage or another breakfast burrito, usually bacon or Chorcheezo.
That may point to a double order for some buyers.
Those sales came from stores in different states, Utah among them, so it isn’t a Utah-only count.
2. XL Fountain Drinks
Maverik adds a free extra-large (XL) fountain drink to a new Adventure Club member’s account once sign-up is complete, according to its rewards page.
If you’re a Nitro member, you also get 25% off fountain drinks, foam cups included.
The 2022 sales report also lists foods that buyers most frequently paired with an XL fountain drink.
They’re maple and chocolate bar donuts, corn dogs, and sausage, egg and cheese breakfast burritos.
3. Adventure Club
Adventure Club is Maverik’s rewards program, and members get the perks with “no fees and no catches.”
Members save 2 cents a gallon on fuel every day.
On a 15-gallon fill-up, that’s 30 cents.
You add your account at the start of checkout or at the pump.
If you download the Maverik app, it adds deals, sweepstakes entry and a store locator.
Freebie Friday features a new item every week.
The deals page also says Adventure Club and Nitro customers get weekly deals.
4. Punch-It! Cards
Every Maverik Punch-It! digital punch card gives you a free item after you buy 10 qualifying ones.
Your eleventh is free.
Energy drinks, BonFire food, fountain drinks, coffee and whole pizzas all qualify.

5. Meal Deals
As of October 2026, Maverik's deals page lists four meal deals.
The $7 deal pairs BonFire pizza with a 20-ounce Coca-Cola, and you can choose a personal pizza or two slices.
The $5 deal pairs any hot dog with a bag of Lay's chips and a 20-ounce Pepsi.
The $6 deal pairs any breakfast sandwich with two 8.4-ounce Red Bulls.
The $4 deal rotates.
New items post every Monday, so the app is where to look for that week's $4 deal.
6. Nitro Rewards
Nitro is Maverik's upgrade from Adventure Club, and its Nitro page says it lowers fuel prices by 10 cents a gallon or more, every gallon, every day.
Nitro also includes Instant Price Match, which lowers your price to match qualified local competitors.
If you sign up, you also get 25% off coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate.
It isn't a credit card.
Nitro has no fees, and you link it to your bank account.
You also get a free BonFire burrito at sign-up.
Nitro Requirements
You get the boosted Nitro rewards only when you pay with Nitro.
If you pay another way, you still earn standard Adventure Club rewards by scanning the card barcode, entering your phone number or using the app's scan-only option.
Some banks require micro-deposits before your Nitro registration finishes, and that can take up to three days.
7. Trail Points
Adventure Club members earn 2x Trail Points on each dollar spent in the store and 1x on each gallon of fuel, according to Maverik's rewards page.
If you're a Nitro member, you get 4x Trail Points in the store.
Alcohol, lottery and gift card purchases are excluded, so those won't add to your balance.
You can spend your Trail Points in the store or in the Maverik app.
The BonFire Menu
Maverik's BonFire menu runs from breakfast through lunch, according to its food page.
Lunch includes pizza slices and pies, hot dogs and sausages, and sandwiches like the Club on Ciabatta.
Select BonFire Grill locations also make tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads to order, while BonFire food in general is made fresh in every store's kitchen each day.
Items and availability may vary by location, so check your store before you count on one.
Online ordering is available at select stores, including in Arizona, Colorado and Utah. If no locations appear near you, check back soon. It's expanding every week.
Wyoming Roots
Maverik traces its start to 1928, when Reuel Call opened a two-pump gas station in Afton, Wyoming.
Call was 20.
He paid for the station with money from renting roller skates.
The company's first Utah stores opened in the late 1950s, including early locations in Moab, Willard and Brigham City.
Maverik has used the tagline "Adventure's First Stop" since 2000, and you still see it on the company's about page.
The chain now has more than 800 locations across 20 states.
The headquarters store in downtown Salt Lake City, number 279, opened in 2016 with no gas pumps, so you won't fill up there.
